The majority of the financial support given by Friends of the Camarillo Library to the Camarillo Public Library comes from the sale of used books, DVDs, music CDs and audiobooks that are donated by the generous public. Learn about these sales by exploring the subheadings under this page.
Friends sells the bulk of its books in the brick-and-mortar store located on the left side of the Camarillo
Library Courtyard next to Giant Steps Cafe.
While the majority of the books in the Bookstore, regardless of subject, are priced from $0.50 to $6.00, you will occasionally come across a special find that is worth more and priced accordingly. The higher priced, in-store books are still priced below the average internet price for books in the same condition.
Book Carts: You can score super deals by checking out the books on our
two book carts (red for grownup books, and blue for children's books). The
carts are located just outside the front door of the Bookstore. The books on
the red cart are usually at priced 50% off of our already low prices, and
inventory changes daily. We use the blue cart to spotlight our children's
books. You may find fairytale books one week, holiday books the next week,
and discounted books a week later. Stop by often, and look for the spotlight
sign on the cart for details.
Flash Sales occur spontaneously for a limited time. Be sure to follow us
on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to see when these sales happen or try your
luck by stopping in often.
You will find some Highlighted Specials that come out once a month. Be in the first-to-know crowd by becoming a Friend member.
